The church is standing today because of the generations that came before us. You know, there are a few of us here in the church who have been to churches that are no longer there anymore. I’m sure that you know of churches in your area that once shone brightly with the gospel, which is now closed. Maybe it’s been knocked down, maybe they are flats, maybe they’ve been turned into a recreational place, a mosque, a pub. 

But I’m thankful that this church is still going. I’m thankful that looking around, we are still gonna be able to go for at least one more generation. Because there’s a generation behind us that we are gonna pass the torch on to, to keep shining the light here in this community. 

Acts chapter 16 and verse five just simply says this, and so were the churches established in the faith and increased in number daily. I want to look at the light that was lit. 

I’m going to look at the light that was lit and how God establishes His church. So let’s pray.
